Job Description:
Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the
US Military and other Government entities is seeking a passionate,
flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of
Information Technology professionals. We are seeking a "Network
Engineer" to support the PMW-160 Tactical Networks In-Service
Engineering Activity (TACNET ISEA). This is a fulltime position
working out of our San Diego, California office. If you are
comfortable in intense fast-paced environments, can think on your
feet, excel in team-based collaborative efforts, and can tolerate
visiting some of the most exotic locations in the world, then this
may be the right position for you. The Network Engineer will serve
as a subject matter expert for US Navy Network Management Systems
utilizing Microsoft and Linux servers as well as routers and
switches from various vendors. You will provide support and
expertise for Navy networks and associated systems during
installation on board US Navy vessels and in a post-installation
environment to include remote support and troubleshooting. Pay
Range: $89,000 to $125,000 depending on experience Travel: Up to
30% You Will:
- Assist in or lead the installation, upgrade, and modernization
of C4I U.S. Navy networks.
- Provide distance and on-site support to networks installed
aboard U.S. Navy vessels.
- Provide support via remote troubleshooting for operational
units worldwide.
- Pre-load, configure, and test equipment and systems such as
servers, routers, and switches.
- Provide support and integration expertise for U.S. Navy network
systems and associated sub-systems during installations on-board
U.S. Navy vessels.
- Perform systems operational testing for various U.S. Navy
network systems to units worldwide.
- Provide support documentation and attend
briefings/meetings.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 30%. You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level
Security Clearance and maintain eligibility for increased personnel
security clearance levels and/or Special Access Programs
(SAP).
- A current U.S. Passport or can obtain one within 45 days of
employment.
- A current CompTIA Security+ CE Certification (Required).
- A current vendor operating system certification such as MCSA,
MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, or Linux+ (Required).
- 3-5 years' experience as a Network Technician/Field
Engineer/Network Administrator.
- Experience with TCP/IP and common protocols such as FTP, SSH
SMTP, DNS, SNMP, and NTP.
- Experience with routing and switching (Cisco preferred).
- Experience in system/network administration (Microsoft Server
preferred).
- Experience with VMware ESX/i and vSphere.
- The ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and
priorities. We'd Be Impressed If You Had experience with:
- Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System (CANES)
networks.
- Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) enclaves.
- Secret Releasable (SR) / Combined Enterprise Regional
Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS) enclaves.
- SCI networks.
- Ansible and/or PowerShell.
- Remedy or other helpdesk ticketing system. Want to hear more?
